Phi sigma kappa superstars12/28/2023 I have included contact information for both at the bottom of this letter. If you or someone you know would like to help make a difference by making a contribution, you can send checks either to me or directly to the Leukemia Society just be sure to earmark it for Phi Sigma Kappa Superstars. These diseases will affect approximately 106,000 people next year, killing about half of that number. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help assist in the treatment of leukemia, Hodgkin's lymphoma, myeloma and other blood-related cancers. A large split in effort has made it necessary to seek other means for contributions. A major part of the reason is our appropriation of time to support Dance Marathon, which our entire school endorses and benefits children with cancer. However, in recent years, we have had great difficulty in financing our philanthropy through such methods. This has been made largely possible through the generous donations made by the families of brothers, canning (the soliciting of money from motorists), door-to-door soliciting, business sponsors, and the sale of raffle tickets. Over the past eighteen years, we have made donations to the Pennsylvania Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in excess of $375,000. As many of you know, Brother Sandhoe lost his battle with leukemia in 1984, and ever since we have tried to aid in the treatment of this awful disease. Superstars was originally founded due to the untimely death of one of our members, Brother Vincent Scott Sandhoe. I am writing on the behalf of our active brothers of the Kappa Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa on the topic of Superstars. Superstars Continues in Memory of Brother Sandhoe
